Research Kitchen

The HNRU houses a complete research kitchen which allows for the design and preparation of diets for nutrition research purposes. Diets can be manipulated to assess the effects of specific dietary components on nutrient metabolism.

Our research kitchen is equipped with:

  • A temperature monitored walk in fridge & freezer
  • Large pantry area
  • Two ovens
  • Two stoves
  • Two microwaves
  • Two dishwashers
  • Various kitchen appliances (blender, mixer, vacuum sealer, food processor, scales)
  • Dishware, cookware, and bake ware
  • Significant counter space
